How do I check for item damages?

  • Updated
Before a delivery gets handed over, you might be prompted by the Driver App to check for damages before being able to mark it as 'Picked-Up' or 'Delivered'. This means that you have to inspect the delivery to ensure it is handed over in perfect condition.

If an item has any visible damages or defects, you should not accept the delivery and notify the Sherpa Customer Service team immediately. Damages may include:

  1. Visible dents, holes or scratches in packaging

  2. Broken and damaged goods (ie: broken/shattered glass, broken flowers)

  3. Open packaging that was previously sealed

  4. Damaged barcodes on packaging boxes

If you are unsure about whether you should accept the goods, it is recommended that they contact the Sherpa Support Team for advice.

Please note, once you have accepted a delivery, you take full liability for the goods in transit.
