How do I apply to become a Sherpa Driver?

The Sherpa Driver application is all done online. You'll need desktop or laptop computer and your documents ready to upload, along with a quiet place to do your video interview.

Requirements

To become a Sherpa driver you will need to be over 18, have access to a registered and insured vehicle, and provide the following documents, plus complete background checks:

  • ABN
  • Valid Australian Driver Licence
  • Vehicle registration & insurance
  • Police check (complete a new one or provide your own)
  • Work Rights check

Start your application

  1. Create your Sherpa Driver account: Sign up for your Sherpa Driver account here
  2. Confirm your account via the email we sent you
  3. Log in to your Sherpa Driver account to commence Onboarding
  4. Provide your profile and vehicle information
  5. Provide banking details and active ABN
  6. Read (and accept) the Contractor Agreement
  7. Pass your Onboarding training
  8. Pass your video interview
  9. Upload your documents and background checks
  10. Optional: Upload your RSAT (NSW) or RSA (WA) certificates to get access to Alcohol deliveries

If you have everything ready, your application should take around 45m - 1hr to complete.

Top tip: Make sure you have access to check the email address you sign up with, as we will send you emails throughout the Onboarding process.
