Keeping the Sherpa Driver App Active for Location Tracking

For accurate and uninterrupted GPS tracking during your deliveries, it's important to configure your device to allow the Sherpa Driver App to run continuously in the background. Follow these steps to ensure the app doesn't get disabled by your phone's battery optimisation settings:

 

Android Devices

1. Disable Battery Optimisation for Sherpa App

  • Navigate to Settings > Apps > Sherpa Driver App.

  • Select Battery.

  • Choose Unrestricted or Not Optimised to ensure continuous GPS tracking.

2. Allow Background Activity

  • Open Settings > Apps > Sherpa Driver App.

  • Under App Info, select Permissions.

  • Ensure Location is set to Allow all the time.

3. Turn Off Battery Saver Mode

  • Navigate to Settings > Battery > Battery Saver.

  • Ensure it's turned Off while actively delivering.

 

iOS Devices

1. Allow Location Access

  • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services.

  • Find Sherpa Driver App and select Always to enable continuous location tracking.

2. Enable Background App Refresh

  • Navigate to Settings > General > Background App Refresh.

  • Ensure it’s On for Sherpa Driver App.

3. Disable Low Power Mode (During Active Deliveries)

  • Go to Settings > Battery.

  • Ensure Low Power Mode is turned Off during active deliveries.

 

General Tips

  • Regularly update your Sherpa Driver App to ensure optimal performance.

  • Keep your device charged or use a car charger to maintain battery during long delivery shifts.
