Before accepting such a delivery, consider these important factors:

  1. Assess Your Fitness: Evaluate your personal fitness level for lifting, pulling, and pushing items and equipment.

  2. Health Risk: Determine if handling this delivery could potentially endanger your health. If uncertain, avoid accepting deliveries that pose safety risks.

  3. Equipment Check: Ensure you have the necessary trolley or other mechanical equipment required for safe delivery.

  4. Team Needs: Decide if this delivery requires assistance from multiple people or if it's manageable solo.

If you accept deliveries with heavy items, use these safety practices:

  • Use a trolley for moving items.
  • Plan and clear your path before lifting.
  • Maintain a wide base of support with feet shoulder-width apart.
  • Keep your back straight and lift with your legs, not your back.
  • Hold the load close to your body to minimise strain.

If you prefer not to handle 'Heavy Item' jobs, simply deselect this option in your daily checklist or delivery preferences.

Safety Note: If any item exceeds 25kg, contact support before proceeding. It's advised to cancel deliveries exceeding this weight limit to avoid risks to yourself and the delivery equipment. Our support team will guide you on the next steps and compensation options.
