Sometimes our systems may unassign a job from you if there hasn't been any progress towards the pickup location and the delivery window is closing.
This helps keep jobs moving so that they can be delivered to the recipient on time.
How does this work?
You will receive a notification if you don't appear to be heading to the pickup location.
This can happen if you:
- have not started moving towards pickup
- are moving away from the pickup location
- are too far away to arrive on time
If a job is unassigned from you, we'll send a notification to let you know.
How can I avoid this from happening?
To avoid having a job unassigned:
- Start heading to pickup as soon as possible
- Keep your location services turned on. Learn how to set them here →
- Update your job status (set to 'On my way' if you are heading towards the pickup location)
- If you can no longer complete the job, unassign the job as early as possible.
Why did I receive a reminder to update my status?
If you are already on your way or have arrived at pickup, the system may remind you to update your job status. This helps us and the Sender know where you are and can help avoid ETA requests to you.
For example, you may be asked to update your status to 'On my way' or 'Arrived for pickup'.
